Three Decades of Design

1996
Founded in New York
Axis opens its first studio in New York, focused on workplace and commercial interior design.
2001
West Coast Expansion
The firm opens its second office in Los Angeles, beginning a period of national growth.
2008
Going Global
Axis opens its first international office in London, establishing a permanent European presence.
2014
Asia Pacific Launch
The firm expands into Asia with offices in Singapore and Shanghai, bringing design leadership to the world's fastest-growing cities.
2020
Axis Research Institute
Launch of our dedicated research arm, formalizing evidence-based design practice into a global institute.
